3 Celebrity Mom Style Tips

Before I had kids, I was always pretty well put together. My hair was brushed and styled, make-up applied, unstained clothing, and no bags or dark circles under my eyes. I have always been a jeans-and-t-shirt girl, but back then, my clothes weren’t wrinkled and I tried to keep myself looking stylish.

With kids? Well, that’s a different story! I’m lucky if my hair gets brushed and thrown into a ponytail and I can get a coat of mascara on my eyes. But some well known celebrity moms are sharing their secrets for looking great all the time . . . and these are easy tips that you’ll be able to use!

Get A Great Haircut

Great doesn’t have to mean high maintenance! Make sure that when you meet with the stylist that you tell her how much time you want to spend styling it, how you normally wear it, and ask for suggestions of cuts/styles that will fit with your lifestyle.

Another thing to think about is what the cut will look like as it grows out. If you get a head full of layers, as it grows out it may not look so hot. And if you decide to color your hair, consider what your roots will look like as they grow out, too.

Dress Down, But Not Dumpy

Like I said, I live in jeans and t-shirts. That doesn’t mean that I have to look dumpy though! By simply wearing a blouse instead of a t-shirt (even a very casual blouse), and pressing your jeans, it’s like a simple makeover! Accessorize with earrings and a bracelet or necklace. Put a pretty clip in your hair, of if there’s no time to do your hair, wear a cute hat.

As hard as it is to keep my clothes free of stains, I have noticed that the better care I take of them, the longer they look newer. Treat stains as they occur. Don’t garden or dig around in the dirt with the kids in the jeans you’d wear on a night out with husband! Little things add up.

Sunglasses Are Your Friend

No time to put on makeup but still want to look put together? Throw on some stylish sunglasses! Often times you’ll see celeb moms out and about wearing sunglasses . . . and no, they don’t have full eye makeup on underneath them!

Sunglasses are your perfect secret weapon for those days that you just don’t have time to get all made up. If you wear them, just sweep some face powder on and some lipstick, and you’re ready to go!

Also? When you wear sunglasses you’re less likely to squint, meaning less wrinkles in the long run!

What are your style tips to keep you feeling good about yourself and your look? One of my favorites is confidence: if you stand with confidence and project it, you’ll automatically feel better about yourself!
